In Colombia during the ceremony gifts are brought to the altar by the wedding party that symbolize different aspects of marriage, the Virgin Mary’s Flowers for her blessing, the Bible, the Rosary, the Wedding Coins (‘las Arras’). In England flower petals are distributed by young children as a symbol of the bride’s femininity. Certain elements from both our heritages will be reflected throughout our Wedding Day.
